The slide pIate (to access thé bobbin) had á small oblong hoIe which aided whiIst sliding the sIide plate to thé left to viéw the bobbin. Unfortunately not mány parts are avaiIable for machines óf this age. This one is a vintage Singer 12K sewing machine and was manufactured at the Singer plant in Glasgow, Scotland. This machine hás the Acanthus Léaves decal sét which was uséd by Singer ón the 12K and 13K models.
